O BiciBox is a secure bicycle parking system provided by the company Biciway in partnership, in this case, with Fertagus, which runs the north-south railway line in the Lisbon metropolitan area, between Roma-Areeiro and Setúbal.
The parks are located in the Corroios, Foros de Amora, Fogueteiro, Coina and Penalva. This equipment allows users to store their bicycle safely before boarding the train, thus promoting the complementarity between the bicycle and rail transport. In Lisbon, there is also a network of Biciparks, operated by EMEL and also accessed via the pass card.
Unfortunately, there is no integration of all these systems into a single platform, similar to the one that exists, for example, in the Barcelona metropolitan area - each company creates its own network.
