It is in Mouzinho da Silveira Street, near Marquês de Pombal, one of the main business areas of Lisbon, that a new bicycle parking lot is located, closed and protected. It has capacity for 10 cargo bikes and normal bikes.
Parking is one of the barriers to bicycle adoption, with users looking for safe solutions where they can leave their two-wheeled vehicle for long periods of the day. That is precisely what this park at Mouzinho da Silveira allows. Access, although free at this initial stage, is conditioned through a mobile application called PVerde and available both for iOS like for Android.
Through this application, the user can open and close the door of this parking lot. You also have a personal code that you can use as an alternative to the application.
This is the second covered parking lot of its kind that has been installed in Lisbon. There is a smaller one at the entrance of Entrecampos train station that can also be used for free through PVerde.
