A final section of Rua Cláudio Nunes, in Benfica, was intervened in the scope of the project The Street Is Yourswhich seeks to give space back to people in the current pandemic context. It is now a pedestrian area, filled with recycled street furniture and some vegetation.

The 70 meters of Cláudio Nunes Street between Ernesto da Silva Street and Benfica Road are now also green - the paint is meant to signal that the area is now pedestrianized and also to cool the tar. Green was the chosen hue, since the idea is, in a second phase, to give a new life to that entire artery, revitalizing the closed stores and galleries with businesses in the area of sustainability and ecology.

For now, Cláudio Nunes is green only at its end with Benfica Road. Dumpsters have become garden benches, the old railings from the Baldaya Palace have given way to a climbing plant, pallets from the Benfica market have become sofas, and the lampposts are operated by solar panels.
