The Benfica Radial cycle path, which currently links Campolide to the Pina Manique traffic circle, will be extended from the latter point to the Lisbon Camping Park, passing through the Boavista neighborhood. The new section will be about 2.1 kilometers.

The work, which will take place in stages according to the information released by the Benfica Parish CouncilThese include the maintenance of green spaces and the planting of trees, as well as improvements to rainwater drainage, sidewalks, lighting and horizontal signage.

This work, which is the responsibility of Lisbon City Council and EMEL, will have It will last 10 months and is expected to be completed in July 2021..

This cycle path will allow Lisbon's cycling infrastructure to be taken to a city boundary, in this case with the municipality of Amadora in the Alfragide area, but it won't be the only one. In Calçada de Carriche, a new cycle path will be created that will go all the way to the city's gateway with the municipality of Odivelas, connecting Ameixoeira and Lumiar.

According to the Lisbon City Council, the work in this area "include the requalification of a path for pedestrians and bicycle users, between the Calçada de Carriche bridge and Rua Actor Epifânio, which will also be requalified with new seating areas, an increase in green areas and sidewalks, lighting and parking arrangements". When the work, which will last 3 months, is finished, there will be a bi-directional cycle path between Calçada do Poço and the entrance to Vale da Ameixoeira Park.

Subsequently, a cycling link will be developed from the Calçada de Carriche cycle bridge, which has already been completed, to Odivelas along Calçada de Carriche, and between Estrada do Desvio and Lumiar (at Rua Alexandre Ferreira, where a cycle path currently ends).
