The Namoradeiras Wall, in Terreiro do Paço, known for its square benches in pairs and facing each other, has been rebuilt. The project was integrated in the renovation of the waterfront, which includes other initiatives still under development, such as the renovated Doca da Marinha and the new river pier at Terreiro do Paço.
The idea was to restore the original wall and extend it to the Ribeira das Naus, which was done. The Muro das Namoradeiras is so called because of the benches facing each other and leaning against the river, allowing you to flirt with a landscape that few capitals can offer. The original lighting poles, also rehabilitated, were placed on the site.
The project to rehabilitate the Namoradeiras Wall is by architect Bruno Soares.
