Zones 30 were created on several one-way streets around the Alvalade Market. Street corners were changed to prevent parking on top of crosswalks, and cycle lanes shared with other traffic were marked.

But this was a very lazy piece of work. The street in this picture, for example, was kept wide enough for there to still be second-row parking. The sidewalk could have been widened substantially or a cycling counter-flow created, narrowing the road to prevent not only illegal stops but also excessive speeds. It's a shame.
