The construction of a bidirectional bicycle path on Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa has been underway since the beginning of January.
The intervention, which should be finished by mid-February, will create a new and direct cycling corridor between Alvalade and Parque das Nações, connecting to Rotunda do Relógio and Alameda dos Oceanos at each end and connecting to the pop-up infrastructure installed in Olivais, through Avenida Cidade de Bissau.
In the future, this bike path will also be connected to Areeiro through Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho and to the Chelas area, where there is already a cycling corridor.
