[Comment] No warning and no alternative on Avenida do Brasil

It seems completely contradictory in a city that increasingly presents itself as bike-friendly. The bike path on Avenida do Brasil - the main and only direct connection between Lumiar/Alvalade/Avenidas Novas/etc and Olivais/Parque das Nações, giving access, for example, to Gare do Oriente - started construction work about two months ago. Without any prior warning, without any signs on the ground, without an alternative having been provided. Let the cyclists manage!

At issue is the installation of underground pipes, which has forced the road surface to be drilled and has made the cycle path impassable in different sections as the work has progressed. In the areas where it has already been partially completed, there is still an unpaved surface and cyclists are forced to use the road only (with a cargo bike it must be quite complicated and with a child seat dangerous).

It's true that now, with the confinement, there are fewer people needing to get around, but I'd like to remind you that this work started at the beginning of December. People who go to work, take their children to school, take the train, students, GIRA users, people who travel to or from Olivais... many use this cycle path, they rely on it. They have no alternatives. No work can be done on the highway without taking all the inconveniences into account and creating temporary solutions.
