It will take place on Sunday, September 19th, starting at 2pm.
The Fancy Women Bike Ride is a global movement which takes place simultaneously in several cities: in each of them, groups of women organize a walk and invite other women to take part. After a small experiment last year, Lisbon officially hosts this year's Fancy Women Bike RideCatarina and Sheyla met because of cycling... and Twitter.
Anyone who wants to take part in the Lisboa Fancy Women Bike Ride just has to show up at Cais do Sodré at 2pm on September 19th. There's no need to register. The route will take a cycle path alongside the river to Avenida Brasília. It will be about 5 km long. The meeting point and final destination offer GIRA bicycle stationsand easy access to public transport.
The Lisboa Fancy Women Bike Ride is aimed at women, but is open to anyone, as long as they don't occupy the front rows of the route. On arrival, participants can rest on the grass overlooking the 25 de Abril Bridge and enjoy the late Sunday afternoon socializing. Food is available in the area and there is also a playground for children, but you can bring your own food and towels. picnic.
