It already opened on November 1st and 2nd and will open again this Thursday, the 4th. The initiative will be repeated in on the 8th, 11th, 18th and 19th, from the 20th to the 23rd, and on the 26th of this month. This November, the Lisbon Cruise Terminal terrace is open to the public again.

The terrace of the Lisbon Cruise Terminal, at Doca Jardim do Tabaco, will be open on the days mentioned between 11am and 7pm. Access is free of chargefor local residents and anyone else who wants to access these areas.

This isn't the first time you've been able to go up to the terrace. It is usually accessible to the public whenever there are no large cruise ships. However, there is usually no clear advance notice of when this will happen so that people can know whether or not they can enjoy the view this building offers.

Similar to the MAAT, the Cruise Terminal's terrace offers a panoramic view of the river and the city, particularly the Graça and Alfama areas. It is, however, a terrace that is less popular with tourists and the general public, perhaps because they are unaware that it is open to the public and/or because of its unstable opening hours.

Under the management of the Port of Lisbon, the Lisbon Cruise Terminal will be able to accommodate cruise ships and passengers, complementing the Santa Apolónia terminal building. The new Terminal is a project by architect Carrilho da Graça and was inaugurated on November 10, 2017, having won the Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize for the same year, one of the most important architecture awards in Portugal.
