A great little update.

It is a small major upgrade to CP's application, bringing it closer to its European counterparts. Now it is possible to know if there are deletions or delays very easily, or also on which line the train we want to take will pass.
All this information is available on the "Upcoming Trains" tabwhere it was already possible to consult all trains departing from or arriving at a particular station. According to CP, traffic information (delays and suppressions) is only available for the Urban services of Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra; as for delays, they are only indicated when they are 5 minutes or longer. The indication of the lines is available nationwide.

CP indicates that, "due to technical constraints, not all stations are able to obtain real-time information on the state of the circulation" and that "the stop line number is indicative and may be modified for unforeseen reasons"and always recommends consulting the information at the station "through the sound devices and monitors". The operator is getting this traffic information from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), responsible for managing the rail infrastructure - this information was previously more inaccessible, only on a hidden page on the IP's website.
Available for iOS e AndroidCP's app has been gaining features over the years. In 2020, it became possible to buy tickets for any train, except for Lisbon and Porto Urbanos, through the applicationThis made it possible to travel on Regional and Interregional services at a station with no ticket office or with a closed ticket office without buying a ticket on board, where payment by ATM or PayPal is not available. In addition to the online ticket office, the application allows you to know which trains are passing by the nearest station, through georeferencing, and have your tickets always at hand.
