EMEL will hold face-to-face sessions with Lisbon's commuters to gather their ideas and proposals for a future mobility app, bringing together GIRA, ePark and, eventually, other services.

A EMEL has been rethinking its two mobile applications - that of GIRA and ePark - with the intention of creating a single mobility appIt's a good idea to have a bike share, car parking, and eventually other services. After an online survey promoted in Junethe company will now carry out face-to-face interviews with users of these applications and other people moving in the city of Lisbon.

So if you use GIRA or ePark, or if you don't use either of those services but are a regular commuter in the capital, you are invited to participate in these interviews. You can sign up using this form.

Held face-to-face and with an average duration of 2h30, the sessions will be paid with a voucher of 40 euros that you can use in several stores in Lisbon. EMEL is looking for different profiles of people and will select the interested ones based on criteria such as age, commuting frequency, and modes of transport used.

EMEL is rethinking its applications in the scope of VoxPopa European co-creation project for digital innovation in the field of urban mobility in Lisbon. VoxPop brings together several transport companies, such as Carris, Metro de Lisboa, TML and EMEL, and, in the case of EMEL, crosses several fields of knowledge, from data science to anthropology.

Regarding EMEL's new application, VoxPop will result in a plan of what this app can be, based on the ideas and proposals resulting from EMEL's people and technical teams. Then, and based on this plan, the Lisbon mobility company will be able to develop the future application. At the moment EMEL has two apps, one for GIRA and another for ePark. The idea is to think of a single digital platform that unites the different mobility services and that can be managed internally.
