Lisboa Para Pessoas is launching a subscription model. Starting at €3/month, you can now browse the site ad-free and support the project at the same time.

Over the past two years, Lisboa Para Pessoas (LPP) has accumulated tens of thousands of readers; however, not yet a sustainable project. That's why we're launching a new subscription model, whereby our readers can browse the site ad-free and at the same time, supporting the future of LPP.

From €3/monthYou can pay monthly, quarterly or annually, get access to an ad-free version of LPP, and other benefits that we will announce over the next year. If you could obviously use adblocks to take out advertising, this way you can do so while continuing to contribute to the sustainability of a local journalism project.

Local or regional journalism brings us closer not only to the places where we live, study and work, but also to who we are. By letting us know what is happening in our streets, neighborhoods and cities, it helps us understand the challenges of these territories - whether in terms of mobility, housing, sustainability or governance. This journalism, which we do at LPP and which has contributed to more informed and engaged communities in public life, however, does not pay for itself.  Advertising is, for now, an important part of our revenue, but we want, for the sake of the sustainability of this mission - and the experience of our readers - to remove the intermediary from this relationship and create a link directly between LPP and its followers.

After the campaign for crowdfunding most successful ever in the city of Lisbon and having extended its scope to the metropolitan area - becoming the most read regional newspaper for several months running - LPP will continue to work on in the next season of the project, with a more solid and differentiating strategy

As a regional newspaper, dedicated to the Lisbon metropolitan area, LPP wants to position itself as an indispensable tool of information on the local context, in its different units - from our region to our city, and to the neighborhood -, allowing to strengthen the collective knowledge, the critical spirit of the populations and their predisposition to reflect on contemporary issues of the cities. Because the basis of an egalitarian democracy and a healthy society is information and literacy.
