Reinforcement of lines that serve schools and more timetables at peak hours, at night and also at the weekend. MobiCascais has changed 14 of its 44 bus lines, which are free for those who live, work or study in the municipality of Cascais.

It was at the beginning of April that MobiCascais, the municipal bus and mobility operator of Cascaispresented a significant revision of schedules and routes of several of its public road transport lines.
Specifically, 14 of the 44 MobiCascais bus lines have received adjustments to provide better public service. The changes affect the following lines M01, M13, M20, M21, M22, M23, M26, M27, M29, M30, M31, M33, M34 e M36 e "meet the demands of network users"says the Cascais City Hall in a press release.
"The changes now implemented arise after analysis of the needs felt by users of the network"explains the local authority, which manages MobiCascais as a municipal operator. "Some lines now have a longer route and there have also been more runs throughout the day to improve connectivity and provide more options for passengers."
Among the new features, which debuted on April 1st, are the reinforcement of the lines that serve schools, which now circulate earlier and include more runs at peak hours; the increase in the supply of schedules in the morning and evening periods on some lines; the addition of weekend schedules; and the alteration of stopping places to facilitate connections between the various lines. - M13 "Cascais Terminal - Estoril Station [Via Manique]" - reinforced nighttime circulation with one more schedule and made some minor adjustments to other schedules;
- M20 "Estoril Estação - Bairro da Cadeia do Linhó [Via Amoreira]". - adjusted some schedules on Saturdays;
- M21 "Carcavelos Station - Talaíde - There are now new runs on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays every 1 hour between 7 am and 8 pm;
- M22 "Carcavelos Station - Cascais Terminal [Via Manique]" - a small change of stop next to CascaiShopping;
- M23 "Talaíde - Estoril Station - added circulations on weekdays and also on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays;
- M26 "Parede - Matarraque [Circular]" - added circulations on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;
- M27 "Cascais [Circular]" - stop change next to the Cascais Medical Institute.
- M29 "São João do Estoril Station - CascaiShopping - adjustments in early morning and late afternoon circulation times;
- M30 "Terminal Wall - Vault" - adjustments at some times on weekdays;
- M31 "Carcavelos Station - Cascais Hospital [Via Bicesse]"The frequency of circulations on weekdays is now every 20 minutes;
- M33 "Arneiro - via São Domingos de Rana and Tires [Circular]" - added circulations on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, allowing a frequency of every 30 minutes from 7 am to 8 pm;
- M34 "Cascais Terminal - Costa da Guia". - added new circulations in the early morning and late afternoon;
- M36 "Trajouce North - Carcavelos Station [Via Outeiro de Polima]" - route change that, in Sassoeiros, will now go through Rua Luís de Camões.

The MobiCascais network has 44 lines with municipal coveragesince the inter-municipal service is provided by Carris Metropolitana. Contrary to what happens in the municipality of Lisbon, a MobiCascais has no exclusivity, so passengers may freely choose between the MobiCascais and Carris Metropolitana networks in the Cascais municipality. However, only MobiCascais buses are free of charge for residents, workers and students of the municipalityThey can use them without paying anything as long as they have Viver Cascais card (physical or digital version).
Since the beginning of this gratuitousness, in January 2020, the Cascais Chamber estimates more than 20 million passengers transported. In 2022, about 800,000 passengers per month were carried, totaling 8.8 million passengers, which compared to 2019 (pre-pandemic year) means an increase of 18%. Cascais' bus fleet was renewed in the last two years with 96 new vehicles and two hydrogen buses with the introduction of MobiCascais, which resulted in an increased supply, more timetables and 83% increase in the number of kilometers traveled.
