In Ajuda there is now more pedestrian space, more seating area and more road safety. The Lisbon City Council has completed the intervention in Largo da Boa-Hora, in Ajuda, integrated in the program A Square in Every Neighborhood. This work began in 2015 with the participation of the resident community, and work on the ground started in August last year with a completion deadline of 150 days.

The intervened area covers part of Travessa da Boa-Hora ร Ajuda, Largo da Boa-Hora ร Ajuda, as well as the west section of Rua do Machado until the intersection with Travessa do Machado and the intersection between Rua Nova do Calhariz, Rua dos Quartรฉis, Rua Alianรงa Operรกria, Calรงada da Boa-Hora and Rua do Mirador. It also covers the north side of Rua Nova do Calhariz. The work was divided into three phases.
According to the project page, the Chamber sought to create "a single sidewalk that allows a mixed use of public space in Largo and Travessa da Boa Hora ร Ajuda, as well as in the section of Calรงada da Boa Hora ร Ajuda, between Largo and Rua do Mirador", "condition the road circulation to public transport and local traffic, passing the individual road circulation to Rua Nova do Calhariz"increase the seating area near the playground, widen sidewalks near the church and supermarket, and also articulate "the public space of the market block, ensuring pedestrian crossing routes that increase its permeability".
