In addition to dozens of new kilometers of pop-up style bike pathsthe Lisbon City Hall announced today the recovery of the program The Street Is Yours with a new dynamic. In all, and according to the municipality, there will be more than 100 interventions until the end of the year with the objective of giving more space to people in the streets, helping to maintain distance in the access to commerce and restaurants, and in pedestrian mobility.
Priority will be given to waiting areas associated with basic activities, such as food retail, restaurants, health facilities, pharmacies, and public transportation stops, and new leisure areas will be created. The project also foresees the mitigation of heat islands with the creation of shadow spaces and the promotion of urban art interventions.

- Installation of signage for safe pedestrian circulation;
- Relocation of street furniture to ensure the necessary social distance;
- Placement of obstacles (flower boxes/pillars) to prevent automobile access.
Among the interventions announced in the scope of the The Street Is Yours are some of the works planned during the ZER ABC project, however postponednamely the pedestrianization of Rua Garret and Rua Nova da Trindade, or the widening of the sidewalk in Rua de São Pedro de Alcântara.
