At this school, they replaced two car spaces with bicycle parking.

Two former car parking spaces are now used to park at least 16 bicycles belonging to students, teachers and parents at the Pestalozzi Kindergarten. Located in Campo Grande, on Rua Dr. João Soares, this park is the result of the commitment of the school community and a special request to the Lisbon City Council's mobility department.

The new playground was installed in 2019, before the start of another school year. A history begins with an online survey created by the 4th graders in the previous school year and circulated to their classmates and teachers. It asked them how they traveled or would like to travel to school. From the responses received, it was clear that many people wanted to use their bikes but had nowhere to park them.

The Pestalozzi school community then decided to ask the Lisbon City Council for a parking lot for the school entrance, which was installed in what would have been two car spaces. The students painted them to embellish them and make them their own.
