We had already talked about horticultural park that integrates this new green space, but now we make a more extended visit, highlighting other valences such as the lawn or the dog park.
It doesn't exactly have a name, but we can call it Horta Nova urban park. It decorates the surrounding space of the horticultural park that was born in this neighborhood, in Carnide, and that was inaugurated in the beginning of June. It has a wide lawn where you can spread a towel or where the little ones can play, there is a dog park with several amusements, an open-air gym, tables for a picnic and also several banks.
As for shade, it will depend on the time of day and weather conditions, as many of the trees planted (along with various flowers and shrubs) will still need time to grow. But if you're looking for a little sun, this garden can offer you that.
This green space in Horta Nova is one of the largest to be found in the area. Nearby, you can also find the Mahatma Gandhi Garden and the Quinta Nossa Senhora da Paz Garden, both already in Lumiar but a few meters away (they are near Pingo Doce), or the Alameda Roentgen Garden, which is currently being redeveloped. Quiet, the garden at Horta Nova is a little hidden treasure; but its future will depend on the maintenance efforts on the side of the Junta de Freguesia de Carnide and the City Hall - it is a small garden with a lot of space and space. let's hope they don't let this green space get spoiled, ensuring proper maintenance.
