Carris Metropolitana announces the timetables for Area 4 and the new lines for the entire AML

It is now possible to see (and download) the Carris Metropolitana timetables in Area 4 (Alcochete, Moita, Montijo, Palmela and Setúbal), which starts operating on June 1st. The lines of the remaining areas have also been released.

Less than a week before Carris Metropolitana (CM) starts operating in the cities of Alcochete, Moita, Montijo, Palmela and Setúbal (the Area 4 operation, which also includes the intermunicipal lines to and from Barreiro), schedules for more than 150 bus lines were finally released for this geographical area.

The schedules can be found on Carris Metropolitana's temporary site. Simply select the line and a date to view the corresponding schedules. There is also a "Next Buses" option to know the next departures at each stop on the pre-selected day and time. Finally, there is an option for each person to create his or her own timetable and download it as a PDF file, selecting whether he or she wants information in that document about weekdays or the weekend, for example.

For now, this is the consultation option that is available. The schedules will also be posted at all bus stops and distributed in paper to the population, aggregated by municipality. In early or mid July, this schedule information will also be available in navigation applications such as Google Maps, and by the end of this year, in the Navegante mobile application.

Carris Metropolitana also disclosed the lines from the remaining operation areas (Areas 1, 2 and 3), that is, the remaining 670 lines, approximately, of the new metropolitan road transport service. In the "Line Converter", it is possible to search per operator which CM's new line corresponds to the old one, and also to know the new lines created.

Remember that Carris Metropolitana will start operating in Area 4 next weekon June 1st, and a month later, on July 1st, in the remaining municipalities - with the exception of Lisbon, Cascais and Barreiro, which will keep their municipal companies (Carris, MobiCascais and TCB). In these three municipalities, Carris Metropolitana will only have inter-municipal services.
