A Carris' most recent regular route, the 771, has been extended to Bora Hora, in Ajudawith the addition of seven stops per direction in that parish. Previously, the 771 was located at the Pólo Universitário da Ajuda, serving the student community. away from one of Ajuda's most important neighborhoods. With this extension, Boa Hora gains a direct bus to Sete Rios, passing through Amoreiras and Campolide.

As reported on the Buses from LisbonThe 771 maintains the route between Sete Rios and the Ajuda University Campus, continuing along Rua Sá Nogueira, Rua do Sítio ao Casalinho da Ajuda, Rua do Cruzeiro, Rua Augusto Gomes Ferreira, Largo da Ajuda (Palácio), Alameda dos Pinheiros, Calçada da Ajuda, Rua da Bica do Marquês, Rua de Dom Vasco and Rua Nova do Calhariz (Boa Hora).where the new terminal is located. In the opposite direction, the route passes through the same streets to the University Pole, from where it follows the usual route.

Career 771 was launched in November 2021 by CarrisThe aim is to create a fast connection between the Sete Rios and Campolide train stations and the Ajuda University Campus. However, since the beginning of the 771, consideration has been given to extending this route at least as far as Bora Hora, and possibly as far as Belém.

For Gonçalo Matos, coordinator of the association Neighbors in Lisbon and in particular the Belém nucleus, it would be important for 771 to reach even the westernmost parish of the city. "We are shocked that the westernmost part of the city still has no direct connection to the Sete Rios area, where the city's largest bus terminal is located", refers to the LPP. "As Belém, and in particular Alto do Restelo, is the strongest urban polarity in the western part of Lisbon - bringing together housing, commerce and services - it is easy to see that this is a much stronger and more relevant point of demand for the 771 route than Boa Hora, where the population density is much lower and which is not identified as an urban polarity in the PDM, nor is it a convergence zone for any of the parishes in the western area."

Gonçalo's suggestion is for the 771 route to terminate at Avenida das Descobertas, in Alto do Restelo, instead of at Boa Hora. "It would become a much more efficient route, it would meet more potential passengers, it would connect to several schools, to the largest hospital in western Lisbon, it would intersect with more routes, and it would continue to ensure easy access for the (few) passengers coming from Boa Hora."he added.

LPP also contacted the Belém parish council but received no reply.
