In this second issue, we talk about how housing cooperatives can be a response to the housing crisis and look at two projects that are springing up in Mafra and Moita; we talk about gender inequality in bicycle use in the Lisbon metropolitan area, based on more than 20 hours of observations in the field; we get to know the HortaFCUL project, which is transforming the campus of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon into a fresher space; we try to understand what mobility was like in Lisbon in the past and what lessons this past can give us for the present and future, with the help of two historians and an economist; and we look at the "remains of the city", those urban leftovers left by the viaducts.

This number comes with the offer of an exclusive GIRA poster, a partnership between LPP and EMEL. This poster, designed by Patrícia Mafra and limited to 1000 copiesis a celebration of GIRA and sustainable mobility in Lisbon. Patrícia Mafra is a Portuguese illustrator and creator; before becoming an illustrator, she completed a degree in Industrial Design, worked as a product, interior and graphic designer; nowadays, her work is mostly digital but she likes to explore different techniques and materials in a joyful mix of colors and shapes.
